How do I use the mouthwash?

The mouthwash is ready to use and does not need to be diluted.

Simply rinse and gargle about 20 ml of liquid in your mouth for about 1 minute, then spit it out. You should wait 1-2 hours after use before consuming food and drinks. This is because the effect of Chlorhexidine may be reduced by contact with certain foods or liquids. Therefore, wait as long as possible before eating or drinking to maximise the benefits of the mouthwash. It is also important that you do not use Chlorhexidine mouthwash within an hour after or before brushing your teeth, as toothpaste (without Chlorhexidine) can reduce the effect of Chlorhexidine.

It varies how often and for how long you should use Chlorhexidine mouthwash to relieve your discomfort. Some people need to use the product 2-3 times a day for up to 3 weeks before they experience an effect. Others only use the product as needed when they feel sore gums or if they experience blisters or similar in their mouth. It will therefore be very individual how often and for how long the product should be used.

It is recommended to stop using Chlorhexidine products after 2-3 weeks (with daily use). This is because Chlorhexidine can cause temporary tooth discolouration and taste disturbances with prolonged use. This will quickly disappear when you stop using products containing Chlorhexidine. Chlorhexidine products are therefore recommended as a treatment for a limited period of time.

You can combine the use of Chlorhexidine mouthwash with the other Tea Tree Oil mouth care products for the daily care and cleaning of teeth, tongue and gums.
