How do I use the products for lice treatment?

Usually, one Anti Lice treatment is enough to get rid of lice and nits. However, some might need to repeat the treatment (e.g., with very long or thick hair or if the problem is more severe).
Remember that lice spread easily, and you therefore need to treat the whole family if just one member of your household has got them.
We recommend using the 3 products like this:
1. Anti Lice treatment
Anti Lice is effective and works in just 15 min. When using Anti Lice, you do not have to worry about the lice becoming immune to the cure as it is free from insecticides. The cure works by encapsulating lice and nits. This suffocates them so they die and can easily be removed from the scalp and hair.
Apply Anti Lice to dry hair and leave on for 15 min. You should carefully follow the instructions explained later in this section or this online leaflet.
2. Hair Rinse shampoo
Once you have used Anti Lice as directed, we recommend washing hair and scalp with the lice shampoo Hair Rinse.
IMPORTANT: Hair Rinse shampoo must be applied BEFORE water. It is very important that you do not rinse your hair with water when Anti Lice is in your hair. You must apply shampoo before adding water. The lice cure is water-repellent, and the water can therefore not penetrate your hair strands without shampoo. If you add water to the hair before shampoo, it will leave the scalp and hair greasy and sticky.
Therefore, apply Hair Rinse to hair and scalp before rinsing with plenty of water. You can wash your hair twice to further benefit from the good ingredients of the product and to make sure that all the Anti Lice is removed from hair and scalp.
3. Hair Spray
Hair Spray prevents lice infestation after treatment with Anti Lice, and we therefore recommend that you spray hair and scalp daily to prevent scalp problems with lice. We especially recommend Hair Spray on the days when you do not wash your hair or your children's.
Shake the bottle and distribute Hair Spray in either wet or dry hair. Do not rinse off.
How to use the Anti Lice cure correctly:
To get the most out of the lice treatment, it is important that you follow the instructions carefully.
Instructions:
1. Comb the hair thoroughly.
2. Use in dry hair.
3. Protect the shoulders with a towel.
4. Shake the bottle thoroughly before use.
5. Carefully press the bottle and divide in the hair.
6. Make sure that the product is shared equally in the hair so the hair is completely covered by Australian Bodycare Anti Lice.
7. Rub Anti Lice carefully into the hair and scalp with your fingers. Do not use a comb or brush for distribution.
8. Leave Anti Lice in the hair for 15 minutes. The hair must not be covered by a towel or swimming cap.
9. After 15 minutes the Anti Lice has suffocated the lice and eggs.
10. Wash the product out of your hair. IMPORTANT: As Anti Lice is water-resistant, rub shampoo directly into the hair before rinsing with water. We recommend Australian Bodycare Hair Rinse to rinse out the Anti Lice. It may be necessary to wash several times to get the solution completely out of the hair.
11. After washing the hair, comb thoroughly with a tight comb to remove the dead lice.
Note! Do not use a hairdryer when the solution is in the hair.
How does the lice treatment work?
Anti Lice is based on Dimethicone, which physically encapsulates and suffocates lice and nits.
As the cure is not based on insecticides, you do not have to worry about the lice developing immunity to the cure, and you can use it again and again should the lice return.
After only 15 minutes, Anti Lice has suffocated lice and eggs.
The products in the lice series contain natural Australian Tea Tree Oil, which counteracts bacteria and keeps hair and scalp healthy and free from problems with lice.
Can I combine the products from the kit with other products?
We recommend combining the 3 lice products with the Head Lice Combing conditioner.
Apply Head Lice Combing Hair Rinse lice shampoo. Comb through the hair with a suitable nit comb while the conditioner is still in the hair. This ensures that the lice comb slides easily through the hair and removes dead lice and nits.
When you have removed all dead head lice and nits, rinse hair and scalp with water. Head Lice Combing conditioner leaves the hair soft and free from static electricity.
What do lice look like and why do you get them?
Head lice are small insects without wings. They are flat and oval and have three pairs of legs at the front of the body. They live in human hair, where they suck blood from the scalp. A head lice is 1-3 mm long. The color may change from transparent to dark if it has just sucked blood. If you discover lice, it is important to treat the problem, because lice do not disappear by themselves.
Lice spread easily but only via close contact, as they can neither fly nor jump. Therefore, lice are often transmitted between children who play closely together. If just one member of the family has lice, you still need to treat every member of the household.
