Serum with Squalane acts as an effective moisturizer if you have very dry skin.
Perhaps you recognize one of more of these:
- The feeling of tight and dry skin on the face that itches and is irritated.
- The cold winter has led to very dry skin on the face.
- Flaky and dull facial skin.
If so, Squalane Serum is the right choice.
How to use Squalane Serum
Squalane Serum should be used twice a day after cleansing. Massage a few drops of serum into clean and dry skin after cleansing, but before applying face cream.
It is important that you use serum before cream. Serum will be unable to penetrate the skin and work actively if you apply cream first. After application of serum, we recommend that you use a moisturizer. A good day or night cream forms a protective layer on the skin preserving the serum’s active ingredients in the skin.
We recommend using Squalane Serum in combination with the 4 products in the Face Kit. Use serum after Face Wash and Face Tonic, but before Face Cream and possibly Spot Stick.
BONUS TIP: You can also use Squalane Serum as heat protection for your hair. Distribute a few drops in the hair to add shine and reduce crisp hair. You can use Squalane Serum in wet or dry hair before heat treatment, e.g., with a hair dryer. Apply only a small amount – a little serum goes a long way.
Who benefits from the product?
Squalane occurs naturally in your facial skin, and you produce the substance yourself to ensure a moisturized and healthy skin. However, the Squalane production decreases with age, and if you experience dry skin, Squalane Serum can therefore help you. Squalane has good emollient and moisturizing properties that the skin recognizes because the substance naturally occurs in the skin.
Squalane Serum is quickly absorbed into the skin and leaves it hydrated without a greasy feel.
Squalane Serum forms a protective layer on the skin and is therefore particularly good for skin that lacks moisture and protection. If you tend to have sensitive skin, the moisturizing serum with Squalane will soothe and calm the skin.
Squalane Serum can also help if you experience oily skin. If your skin produces too much sebum, you can mimic this oil production using Squalane Serum. This will result in your skin thinking that the moisture balance of your skin is again intact, and the excess production will stop. This will lead to smooth skin free from clogged pores, blemishes, and oily skin.
If you have very blemished skin with pimples and blackheads, we recommend Blemish Serum with Niacinamide 10% and Tea Tree Oil. Blemish Serum combined with the products in the Face Kit will help you against blemished skin.
What is Squalane?
Squalane is a moisturizing substance that naturally occurs in the skin. Squalane is part of your skin's natural fat production, but the production unfortunately decreases with age.
As your skin matures, you might experience how it becomes drier and lacks moisture. It happens to most people when they reach middle age, but the level of Squalane in your skin already drops from the late 20s. Therefore, if your skin type is dry, you may experience the need for Squalane Serum earlier.
Squalane Serum is dermatologically tested and rated skin-friendly and can therefore be used by all skin types, at all ages and men as well as women.
We only use Squalane extracted from olives. Therefore, the product is 100% vegan.
Is the skin dry, and do you have fine lines or mature skin with wrinkles?
Then you can combine the Squalane Serum with our moisturizing Face Serum. Face Serum is based on Hyaluronic Acid, that helps retain moisture in the skin.
First use Face Serum to boost the skin's moisture level and then seal the skin using Squalane Serum. Squalane Serum forms a protective layer on the skin to maintain the healthy moisture balance throughout the day and night. Finish with a nourishing layer of cream for extra protection.
The two serums in combination are particularly good if you have extremely dry and tight skin, fine lines, or mature skin with wrinkles.
About the product's active ingredients
Squalane: a protective barrier
Squalane Serum forms a protective layer on the skin to minimize irritation from external factors. Squalane Serum is the obvious choice if your skin is delicate and often affected by the weather and cold temperatures. Squalane Serum keeps your skin protected throughout the day.
People with dry skin will benefit greatly from using the Squalane Serum during the winter months when the skin tends to become drier and perhaps flaky and itchy as well.
Tea Tree Oil: antiseptic and soothing properties
When the skin lacks moisture and it becomes very dry, it can result in itching, redness, and irritation.
The natural ingredient Tea Tree Oil keeps the skin healthy and has an anti-itch effect on irritated skin.
Tea Tree Oil has been known and used in Australia for more than 1000 years. The native Australians bathed in lakes surrounded by the tea trees, which released the powerful oil to the water. The lakes turned into antiseptic baths, which healed their wounds and scratches. Read the fascinating story of Tea Tree Oil here.
Vitamin E: enhances the effect of the natural assets
Vitamin E enhances the effect of Squalane and Tea Tree Oil and ensures that the product's moisturizing properties are kept intact. Vitamin E also soothes and moisturizes dry skin.
The natural assets, Squalane, Vitamin E and Tea Tree Oil, work together to effectively relieve dry skin.
