The liquid BHA T-zone peel exfoliates gently - but highly effective - facial skin to help you get rid of pimples, blackheads, oily skin and enlarged pores.
The peel is recommended in combination with other Australian Bodycare facial cleansing and care products for best results.
This is how you use the exfoliant
Apply the product using your fingers or a cotton pad. The product is very gentle to use, so only apply a small amount at a time. Apply to cleansed skin and neck and leave on. Do not rinse off.
Always finish with a layer of face cream. Always use SPF as the last step in your cleansing and skincare routine in the morning to avoid sun damage to the skin.
For some people, the T-zone exfoliant may feel a little sticky on the skin immediately after application. This is usually because you are using too much product. On average, the amount of product used is equivalent to the size of a pea. It's best to apply the product in a thin layer on the skin to avoid a greasy or sticky feeling afterwards.
It is important to give your skin time to get used to new products. You should therefore expect to use the product for 4-5 weeks before you see the effect on your skin. Also, be aware that it is quite normal to experience more outbreaks of pimples, blackheads and other blemishes in connection with the introduction of new products. This will improve after 4-5 weeks when the skin has become accustomed to the new active ingredients.
NOTE: the product is not recommended for pregnant women due to the salicylic acid content.
How often should I use T-zone Peeling?
If you're not used to using peels or BHA salicylic acid, it's a good idea to give your skin a familiarisation period. As the product exfoliates, it's important to give your skin time to get used to it.
We therefore recommend using the product after evening cleansing a couple of times a week to start with. Depending on your skin, you can gradually increase use after a few weeks.
Then use the product every other day in conjunction with evening cleansing. Once you've done this for a week or two, you can probably start using the product daily if needed.
Some people are also fine using the product both morning and evening after cleansing, but it depends on your skin type and tolerance, so experiment and find the application that gives you and your skin the best results.
Should I choose AHA or BHA?
The two types of acids have several things in common - for example, they both help exfoliate dead skin cells away from the surface of the skin. This ensures smoother and more even skin.
You should choose BHA Salicylic Acid - the T-zone peel - if your skin is oily. Either all over your face or just in the T-zone. Either way, you can use the peel all over your face. BHA is oil-soluble, so it's great for oily or oily skin where clogged and enlarged pores, sebaceous nodules, pimples and blackheads are a problem.
AHA is water-soluble and therefore works better on the surface of the skin. This makes it more suitable for normal or dry skin, either with wrinkles, signs of ageing, unevenness, pimples or similar. Among other things, AHA also helps to improve the skin's natural moisture balance.
You can use an AHA peel for impure skin and acne if your skin type is normal, but if your skin type is predominantly oily or oily, you will benefit more from the BHA T-zone peel.
BHA Salicylic Acid also has properties that have a calming effect on the skin. T-zone Peeling, which - in addition to Salicylic Acid - also contains Australian Tea Tree Oil, is therefore also suitable for reducing redness in the skin.
Can I use the product in all of my face?
Yes, you can. Although the product is called a T-zone peel, you can easily use the product all over your face. This is especially important if your skin type is generally oily or oily. This way, your entire facial skin will benefit from the beneficial properties of BHA.
If your skin is combination and therefore oily in the T-zone but drier elsewhere, such as on the cheeks, you can use the product only on the nose, chin and forehead. It depends on your skin type and skin condition, so you'll need to look in the mirror and do some trial and error to find the best application for your skin.
