This is the best way for men to approach facial care with the set:

The four products in the set work ideally in combination with each other and should therefore always be used in this way. This way you can get the best for you and know with certainty that your skin is getting everything it needs. The following 4 steps make up a complete face care for men:

Step 1:

First, cleanse your face thoroughly with the Face Wash.

Foam the mild wash gel with water and gently massage your entire facial skin. Then rinse off the foam with clear water. This way you can cleanse your skin deep into the pores - especially from dirt residues and bacteria that can cause pimples.

Step 2:

The second step in your skincare routine is the face tonic.

This is a refreshing toner that prepares your skin for the moisturiser that follows. Soak a cotton pad with the face wash and go over your entire face with it.

Step 3:

In the third step, moisturise your skin with face cream, because it needs it after cleansing.

If your skin is still damp from the toner, now is the ideal time to apply a care product. You should never skip this step, otherwise your skin can dry out after cleansing. Balance it out with a face cream.

Step 4:

The fourth step is optional - if a pimple on your face lights up, you can treat it specifically with the Spot Stick.

The set's anti-pimple stick is ideal for effectively targeting pimples.

Things to know about men's skin

In fact, men's skin is quite different from women's. A first fact that is impressive: men's skin is about 20% thicker than that of women. This is due to the sex hormone testosterone, which occurs in much higher quantities in the male body than in the female. By the way, this also makes men's skin more permeable in its protective barrier and thus more vulnerable.

Greater sebum production in men

It is also interesting to know: In men, the sebum production of the skin (i.e. the production of skin oil) is about twice as high as in women, because their skin has fewer sebaceous glands. This is also the reason why men's skin often appears coarser-pored and tends to form impurities. High-quality facial care for men with oily or impure skin is then all the more important.

The good news: slowed skin ageing in men

In fact, men's skin ages more slowly than women's skin. This is not only due to the increased sebum production of male skin (wrinkles are more difficult to form in oily skin), but above all due to hormonal conditions: In women, oestrogen levels drop with age, which shrinks water storage capacities and further reduces skin fat production.

Men do not experience these hormonal changes, so wrinkles form more slowly and are less visible.

How much do I need to take care of my skin as a man?

Good question - the answer depends a little on your individual skin type. There is a "basic skin care routine" that makes sense for every man:

1) Cleansing the skin once a day

For normal to combination skin as well as dry skin, it is sufficient to carefully cleanse the face once a day (preferably in the evening). In the morning, it is sufficient to wash the face with clear water.

2) Then apply a mild facial toner

A mild toner, preferably one that balances the PH value of the skin, is very important after cleansing. Face tonic, for example, is ideal for this. The toner can be used in the morning and in the evening.

3) Last but not least, a light cream that does not weigh the skin down.

This can be a gel, a refreshing fluid or a nourishing cream, such as face cream.

How rich your skin care should be depends on your skin type. Don't know your skin type? No problem, we'll show you a few clear indications that will help you to find out your personal skin type.

How to know your skin type

A rough distinction is made between four skin types: Dry skin, normal skin, combination skin and oily/unclean skin. While normal and combination skin are relatively easy to care for, you should follow a few extra tips for dry and very oily skin. Here is an overview:

Dry skin is accompanied by a feeling of tightness and sensitivity. The skin shows dry, flaky, sometimes cracked areas that are prone to redness. Dry skin needs an extra dose of moisture and protection to stabilise, which is best provided by rich, oil-based creams in addition to your normal skin care routine.

Normal skin is clean, balanced and fine-pored; it is neither oily nor dry and has a good moisture balance.

Combination skin combines normal and slightly impure skin. Shine and minor impurities appear in the so-called T-zone (forehead, nose, chin), while the skin in the rest of the face is normal.

Oily/blemished skin is very shiny all over the face. There are more severe impurities and pimples and even acne. The skin is also very large-pored and coarse. This skin type also needs a little extra care.

What should men with oily or blemished skin consider when using facial care?

For very oily to blemished skin, men should follow a few extra rules. The most important of these is: Regular cleansing. Oily skin constantly produces too much sebum, which is why the pores become clogged and, together with bacteria, form impurities.

If you have oily skin, you should always cleanse it twice a day and not use greasy products. Make sure to use light care products that do not promote further impurities - by the way, you can't go wrong with our face care set 4 Step Face Care.
