Why do you get pigment spots on your face or body?

Pigmentation on the skin is a natural part of life for most people. The dark spots on the skin usually appear when the skin has been exposed to sunlight and develops over time. When this happens, the skin's pigment (melanin) clumps together and shows up as pigment changes in the skin.

However, pigment changes can also occur due to hormonal changes and some types of medication.

Some people call pigment spots pigment defects. Pigment changes are not blemishes, but simply changes in skin tone - which is why we prefer to call them pigment spots or pigment changes.

As the vast majority of pigment spots are caused by too much sunbathing and too little sun protection, it is often on the chest, face, shoulders, arms and legs that the spots appear. Pigmentation spots in men are also common, especially on the head for bald men.

Although pigment spots are neither dangerous nor harmful, many people are still annoyed by them - especially if they are on the face or chest, where they are very visible.

Fortunately, many people appretiate their pigment spots or other changes in skin tone, such as freckles. It's naturally beautiful, but if you're suffering from major pigmentation changes and want to even out your skin tone, our products can help.

We'll tell you which products to use to minimise the appearance of your pigmentation changes, if you want.

Can you improve the appearance of your pigmentation changes?

You can! To improve the appearance of your pigmentation problems, use products that even out skin tone and ensure even skin tone.

Body Oil with Tea Tree Oil keeps the skin on your entire body healthy, beautiful and moisturised. The pigment oil can be used by all skin types and can also be used if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

The body oil has smoothing properties and contributes to a nice and even skin tone.

In addition to the antibacterial Tea Tree Oil, the pigment oil is composed of 3 unique ingredients: almond oil, sunflower oil and squalane.

Almond oil contributes a high content of vitamin E, which keeps the skin healthy and reduces irregularities in the skin tone, such as pigmentation spots.

Sunflower oil improves the overall health and evenness of the skin. Sunflower oil is therefore an important ingredient if you want to improve the appearance of your pigmentation changes.

Finally, Squalane adds a lot of moisture. Squalane is a natural ingredient that the skin produces itself. However, the skin's production of this moisturising substance decreases with age. Moisturised skin is beautiful skin, so it's important to make sure you're adding Squalane to your skin to improve the appearance of your pigmentation spots.

How to minimise the appearance of your blemishes

By using pigment oil, you can improve your skin's health and ensure uniformity, reducing the visibility of pigment changes.

3 tips for those who have pigmentation spots on their body, chest, shoulders, arms and legs:

1) Drizzle a few drops of Body Oil on your skin or in your hand and massage into the areas where you have pigmentation spots. Do this at least twice a day for best results.

2) If desired, use Body Oil as a daily moisturizer on the rest of the body or supplement with the moisturizing Body Lotion with Tea Tree Oil.

3) Use Body Scrub a couple of times a week in the bath to remove dead skin cells so that the oil is better absorbed. Use Body Scrub in the bath after washing with Body Wash.

3 effective tips if you experience pigmentation changes on your face or neck:

1) Massage Body Oil daily into the facial skin, paying particular attention to the areas where you have pigmentation changes. You can use the pigment oil twice a day in conjunction with cleansing the face with the facial products with Tea Tree Oil.

2) Before using the Body Oil on the face or neck, it may be a good idea to add the Blemish Serum with Tea Tree Oil, Niacinamide 10% and Zinc 1%, which contribute to an even skin tone, smaller pores and nicer skin.

3) To remove dead skin cells and ensure the best possible absorption of pigment oil into the skin, we recommend using an exfoliating mask 1-2 times a week. Face Mask gently exfoliates the skin to leave it looking beautiful and with a healthy glow.

It takes time to improve your skin - so patience is key. It can take 12-20 weeks to see a change with regular use of the pigment oil.

How to prevent pigmentation changes

As the vast majority of pigmentation changes are caused by the sun, it is important to protect the skin on your body and face from the sun's harmful rays.

Use sunscreen on your face and body and avoid the sun in the middle of the day, when it is at its strongest. Seek shade and wear a sun hat - especially if you're a man and getting thin on top.

If the damage has already been done and you have pigmentation spots on your skin, you can improve their appearance by using the body oil for pigmentation changes.

Healing Ground

The story of healing tea trees dates back thousands of years and it originates from the Aboriginal people of Australia. Their legends describe lakes surrounded by tea trees. Falling leaves and twigs from the tea trees leached their essential oils into the water and turned the lakes into antiseptic baths. The local Aborigines used these natural, healing spas to treat a number of conditions, such as skin infection, burns, cuts and insect bites.

They named the land with tea trees “Healing Ground”.
