Do you want to avoid red shaving spots and beard rash on your face?

Red shaving spots and beard rash on the face are never nice. The annoying little shaving spots can also occur elsewhere on the body where you shave – on legs, intimate area or under the arms.

Shaving spots occur due to an inflammation of the skin. Bacteria on the skin settles in pores that are open after shaving, and this can lead to red shaving spots and beard rash.

Do you have problems with ingrown hairs after shaving?

Ingrown hairs can occur anywhere on your body where you shave. Whether the ingrown hair is on the face, legs, intimate area or under the arms, it can hurt a lot.

Hairs usually grow out of the skin, but an ingrown hair grows inward. The problem often occurs due to lack of cleansing and care of the skin before and after shaving.

3 products for facial shaving

1) Face Wash – effectively cleanses the skin of bacteria

It is important to ensure that your skin is clean and completely free of bacteria before picking up the razor. If there are bacteria on your skin when you shave, there is a risk that they will get into the pores of the skin and develop into beard rash and spots.

Using Face Wash from Australian Bodycare, ensures your skin is completely cleansed of bacteria. The active ingredient Tea Tree Oil counteracts bacteria and leaves the skin ready for the razor.

2) Shave Gel – protects the skin during shaving

When shaving, always use a shaving gel. Shaving gel allows the blade to move more easily by reducing friction and so minimises skin irritation.

Shave Gel from Australian Bodycare is a transparent shaving gel for the face. The active ingredient Tea Tree Oil ensures that the skin is kept free of bacteria during shaving, minimising beard rash, red spots and ingrown hairs.

3) After Shave – soothes and calms the skin after shaving

When you have finished shaving, it is important to care for your skin. Shaving is hard on the skin, but by using a soothing After Shave, you calm the skin preventing ingrown hairs and red shaving spots. After Shave contains, among other things, Tasmanian Pepper, which cools and calms the skin reducing irritation and redness.

Looking for products for leg shaving?

When shaving your legs, arms or anywhere else on your body, you should follow the same routine as when shaving your face.

Wash the skin thoroughly, for example, with a good Tea Tree Oil Body Wash, so that bacteria are effectively washed away. If you suffer a lot with ingrown hairs and red shaving spots, it may be a good idea to exfoliate the skin before shaving with Body Scrub. Exfoliation ensures that the skin is deep cleansed and dead skin cells are removed allowing the razor to slide more easily and avoid causing unnecessary irritation.

When you shave your legs, under your arms or anywhere else on your body, you can use Shave Gel to give a gentler and closer shave. Shave Gel allows razor blade slide more easily, minimising the risk of beard rash, red shaving spots and ingrown hairs.

For the care of the skin after shaving we recommend Body Balm for use on the body. Body Balm contains Tea Tree Oil, which prevents bacteria from getting into the newly shaved hair follicles, while the active ingredient Tasmanian Pepper soothes and cools the skin and stops irritation.

Looking for products for intimate shaving? Then we recommend the complete pack of 3 products for the perfect intimate shave.

Healing Ground

The story of healing tea trees dates back thousands of years and it originates from the Aboriginal people of Australia. Their legends describe lakes surrounded by tea trees. Falling leaves and twigs from the tea trees leached their essential oils into the water and turned the lakes into antiseptic baths. The local Aborigines used these natural, healing spas to treat a number of conditions, such as skin infection, burns, cuts and insect bites.

They named the land with tea trees “Healing Ground”.
